​The mission of the Fuquay-Varina Garden Club in North Carolina is to encourage interest in the art of gardening, garden design, flower arranging and horticulture while improving the environment through beautification, protection and conservation. We meet the third Thursday of the month January-May & September-December. General meetings are held at The Fuquay Varina Woman's Club Clubhouse located at 602 N. Ennis Street.  Join us at 6:30 PM for a guest speaker followed by a business meeting. May 19th 6:30 PM Meeting

We're Back! Our Thursday, May 19th meeting will be held at The Woman's Club located at 602 N. Ennis St.at 6:30 PM. We also connect via Zoom for those who are not comfortable meeting in person. Please email us for the link.
Our guest speaker will be Sheila Saia, Associate Director at the State Climate Office of North Carolina. Sheila will share how climate change will impact gardening in the region and what actions gardeners can take to reduce the impacts of climate change and establish climate-resilient gardens. Guests are always welcome; the first two meetings are free. Presentations are followed by a business meeting.

WANTED: FV Gardens for The Spring 2023 Garden Tour

​Recently we've been getting emails asking when the next garden tour will be. Thank you for your support and interest! Our tour is held every other year so the next one will be spring of 2023. However, we need YOUR HELP in finding different homeowners willing to show off their interesting gardens. We like to find them now so they have a year to plan and prepare. Spring Best Entryway Award 

Congratulations to this season's Entryway Award! (Susan) Reneaue Raiton lovely home is at 1291 Dairy Glen Drive in Fuquay-Varina. A few years ago Susan moved from Willow Spring to this home where she has taken her artistic talent into her gardens. Click on the photos to get a better view. 
A committee of Garden Club members rotate seasonally through Fuquay-Varina neighborhoods in search of inviting entryways. It doesn’t matter if your ‘style’ of décor is rustic, whimsical, or elegant; we look for one household with outstanding seasonal interest and color. Let us know if you want to nominate A Best Entryway in your neighborhood come summer.

PEST ALERT! The Spotted Lanternfly at NC Border!

​The Spotted Lanternfly is an invasive leafhopper that is destroying plants and crops in Pennsylvania.This unusual bug looks very different in its various stages. It  has now been identified at the border of Virginia and NC!  Please refer to these websites to learn how to identify it, find out where it lays its eggs, what the host plants are and what to do if you spot them at any stage in their life cycle.

We have received a number of state awards for our many ongoing projects. In 2021 we received Judy Barnes Scholarship Award" from the GCNC. This is given to the club that gives the most scholarship funds based on a ratio per member. 
Our next Garden Tour will take place in Spring of 2023. Let us know if you want to recommend a garden for the tour.​
In 2015 we were warded Most Outstanding Garden Tour - 1st Place Winner by The Garden Club of North Carolina.
